Congratulations to the Freeman Catholic College Bonnyrigg Heights Class of 2024 on your outstanding Higher School Certificate (HSC) results!
We recorded 137 Distinguished Achievers, four All Rounders and three Top Achievers:
- Lucia Paiano, 6th in the state in Standard English
- Daniela Barbieri, 2nd in the state in Italian Beginners
- Ella Capolupo, 10th in the state in Society and Culture
Our school placed 163rd in the state, with 28% of students achieving an ATAR above 85 and 14 students receiving HSC Showcase Nominations.
Five students achieved 100% in Industrial Technology Major Works, while one student achieved 100% in their Society and Culture Major Work.
Principal Melinda Melham congratulated Year 12 on their fantastic efforts.
“We’re very proud of our students for their commitment to achieving their personal best,” she said.
“They embraced every opportunity, collaborated and worked hard to achieve their goals.”
SUCCESS ACROSS THE SYSTEM
Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) has achieved outstanding results in the 2024 HSC with 13 of its 33 secondary schools ranked among the top 150 high schools in NSW.
SCS recorded an impressive 2819 Distinguished Achievers, 42 Top Achievers and 45 All Rounders.
Notably, eight SCS students received HSC First in Course honours.
SCS students also completed 1,921 VET courses, and earned 280 HSC Showcase Nominations across the Creative and Performing Arts, and Technology and Applied Studies.

- 137 Distinguished Achievers – lists the students who achieved a result in the highest band (Band 6 or Band E4) for one or more courses, not including results for courses studied external to their school
- Four All Rounders – number of students scoring above 90 in at least 10 units
- Three Top Achievers – students who achieved one of the highest places in a HSC course or optional exam and also achieved a result in the highest band
- 28% of students with an ATAR above 85
